did the phillies try to get that 3B in the thome trade or was htis kid just drafted? |

Fields was a QB at Oklahoma State and was drafted by the White Sox. I believe the trade ended up being Thome and Gio Gonzalez for Aaron Rowand and Daniel Haigwood. |

The Phillies still have Gio - at least as far as I know he's been playing for AA Reading all season. |

Very interesting... the part about Fields challenging Crede for the job esp. with Crede having such a great year.
Starting Pitchers
1. Jose Contreras
2. Mark Buehrle
3. Jon Garland
4. Javier Vazquez
5. Kyle McCulloch
So... Garcia's gone?

Well, Crede's contract is up so he may head west (Anaheim or San Diego) and I think Garcia will be traded. |

Well Crede has Scott BorASS as an agent, and him and Kenny Williams don't get along too well. But he is arbitration eligable. Fields has also been playing some LF down in Triple AAA.
And it will be Brandon McCarthy in the 5 spot in the rotation. |
