I was very impressed with the Blues play and I think the moves they made in the offseason will definitely pay off. After a solid pre-season I was hoping to see some good play out of Michalek and it appears playing on the Cheechoo-Thornton line on the PP definitely paid off, well, it pays off for ANYBODY who plays on that line. If Michalek can continue to see significant time paired up with these guys I think he is primed to have a decent season, for a 21 y/o. I heard the announcers say too, the Sharks are the youngest team in the NHL, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some inconsistency this season.
