News: MLB.com is reporting that the Indians and Jake Westbrook have agreed to a three-year contract extension that will keep him in Cleveland through the 2010 season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Views: Perhaps a new trend in baseball? Another above average, young pitcher locked up to likely a hometown discount extension. Good signing Cleveland!

I hate that re-sign and resigned mean the exact opposites of each other. Sometimes when I read it quickly I start thinking the wrong thing.
