News: Lind was recalled from AAA Syracuse to take the spot of Reed Johnson, who was placed on the disabled list Friday.
Views: Looking for that first big bat to come up from the minors? Here it is! Lind hit .367 with a pair of homers in 60 at bats as a late call-up in 2006. Overall, he hit .335 with 26 homers, 39 doubles, and 97 RBI between AA, AAA, and the majors last season. There was little question that his bat was big league ready, but the Jays just didn't have a spot with him because of Johnson's emergence last season. |
