Baseball Player News: Alfonso Soriano (OF), CHC
By: Jeff Brown

News: Alfonso Soriano is expected to return to the lineup on Monday and start in left field.

Views: That will help him since he played there all of last season, and he won't be expected to run as much as he had to in center. Felix Pie will stay in the bigs and continue to roam center field.

not complaining because I am very, very happy just to have his bat back in the lineup because my offense has really been struggling

No Pinella has stated that he is not 100% which is why he is throwing him in left. What do I think? Obviously he isnt that bad, but I would be more nervous than anything else, if I owned him.

I doubt it, but apparently he's healthy enough to take the reduced role of going to LF. I wouldn't expect him to be as aggressive on the basepaths as usual for the next day or two (at least), but sometimes the instincts win out and his leg might hold up. We'll just have to see how healthy he really is.
