Baseball Player News: Cliff Floyd (OF), CHC

News: Cliff Floyd went 4-for-5 with two RBI Wednesday as the Cubs defeated the Brewers, 9-3.
Views: I never was a big Cliff Floyd fan, and I'm scared to death with all the playing time he's been getting this early in the season. But the hustle he's shown in the OF and on the bases has been surprising -- especially for a guy as fragile as he is. Floyd owners hope that this brings him out of his drought. He was hitting .306 on April 18, but went on a 1-for-13 mini-slump that dropped his BA to .245. Floyd tied his career-high for hits in a game with the effort. Let's just hope he doesn't get injured tying his shoes in the morning. |
