News: The Mets learned today that Jose Valentin has an ACL Injury though at this time it is not known how long he will have to miss. Ruben Gotay has been called up to split time with Damion Easley at second. The 23-year-old Gotay was hitting .256 with two home runs and 13 RBIs in AAA New Orleans.
Views: Easley will likely get the majority of the starts, but if Gotay hits well, he could earn more playing time. However, all this potential playing time depends on how long Valentin will miss. We'll keep you updated.
