Baseball Player News: Josh Barfield (2B), CLE

News: Barfield went 1-3 in Sunday's game against Baltimore,extending his hitting streak to a modest 4 games. He's raised his batting average from a dismal .117 to a nothing to brag about .162.
Views: Is he heating up? Barfield does have the potential for 20+ steals and could approach 15+ home runs. Considering many owners have already given up on him, he could be ripe for the "Buy Low" picking. If you've got an open roster spot and he's a Free Agent, he may be an interesting pickup to sit on. If you think you may need 2B help at any point, he also is a great target on other rosters. Considering the Indians weird schedule through April, maybe he's catching his stride as things are settling down. |
