News: Salomon Torres notched his third save in as many chances with one on Thursday in the Pirates' 4-2 win over the Brewers.
Views: Thursday's performance was second straight game where the only baserunner he allowed was one via a walk. Therefore, he has lowered his horrible ERA to 6.23 and his WHIP to 1.62. It's still not what you want from your closer, but nine saves in less than five weeks is nine saves. Matt Capps remains in the shadows. |
