Baseball Player News: Matt Albers (SP), HOU

News: Matt Albers picked up his first major-league win in four tries by pitching shutout ball over 7.1 IP in the Astros' 13-0 win over St. Louis.
Views: Albers allowed three hits and a walk as he also struck out two. It's hard to place where Albers right now. He's obviously not as good as he showed Saturday against the anemic Cardinal bats. But he hadn't given up more than three earned runs in his previous starts, so I'd say that he's at least more consistent that Chris Sampson. That's a start. |
