Baseball Player News: Preston Wilson (OF), STL

News: Preston Wilson has been placed on the 15-day DL with a sore right knee.
Views: Wilson has had pain in his knee all season, did not play on Wednesday in Milwaukee and had it drained on Saturday. The Cards certainly will not miss his bat (.219/.265/.313, one HR, five RBI).
Ryan Ludwick has been called up from Memphis (.330/.368/.612, seven HR, 35 RBI). He's been tearing it up -- although it would have been nice to see Rick Ankiel given a shot. Ankiel will get his -- it looks like Ludwick might actually help the Cards a bit. |
