Baseball Player News: Joe Mauer (C) MIN

News: The Twins placed Joe Mauer on the 15 day DL with a sore quad muscle. Apparently its been bothering him all season so far. A MRI revealed a strain that caused the Twins to finally rest him.
Views: Mauer has batted .353 in 28 games this season with 18 runs scored and 14 RBIs. He's expected to rest at least two weeks and will be reevaluated. |
