Baseball Player News: Tom Gorzelanny (SP), PIT

News: The first pitch Tom Gorzelanny threw Wednesday night ended up making him the hard-luck loser in the Pirates' 1-0 loss to the Cubs.
Views: That pitch was a home-run ball to Alfonso Soriano. Gorzelanny proceeded to shut out the Cubs threw seven innings. He allowed six hits, two walks and struck out five. Despite the loss, Gorzelanny (4-2) lowered his ERA to 2.72 and his WHIP to 1.14 on the season. |

Sucks to see that I could have gotten a win from him. Still, a 1.29 ERA from him is pretty good.  |
