Baseball Player News: Jason Marquis (SP), CHC
By: Jeff Brown

News: Jason Marquis threw a complete-game three-hit shutout Wednesday night in the Cubs' 1-0 win over the Pirates.

Views: The victory was Marquis fifth straight win, his second career shutout and fourth complete game. He faced three batters over the minimum with no walks and he struck out five. He is 5-1 with a 1.70 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP. Marquis must have gotten some of the magic potion that Braden Looper got in the off-season.

I have Chuck James in my keeper and Im getting fed up not being able to start him because he hasnt found his grove yet. And to make matters tougher, Marquis is chilling on the WW and killing the competition. Do I make the dreaded switch for an older pitcher? Or do I wait it out and keep James and take advantage of that good ole law of averages?

No doubt about it. Cards fans cheered and laughed at the signing, but what do they know? Bout as much as that STL pitching coach.

I would ask for the amount of inches tall doug flutie is multplied by 100 and that is how much money I get and I would like to get an autographed DOug Fluti/ Tom Bradey jersey. So first let me do the math for the $ Doug Fluti is 52 inches tall so 52 multipliedd by 100 equals $52,000 then I would sell the Doug fluti jersey for $22 on ebay and I would gain a profit of 52,022.
