News: Juan Encarnacion is expected to be recalled on Sunday from his rehab in Double-A Springfield.
Views: Unfortunately, it's not because he's ready to play -- he's only gone (8-for-52) (.154) without a home run and four RBI. He's just used up his rehab days.
That's bad news for Ryan Ludwick, who provided quite a spark in Wednesday's 9-2 win over Colorado, going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Either him or Skip Schumacher (.233/.277/.279) will be sent down (hopefully Schumacher). Ludwick deserves continued play for the Cards until Encarnacion is truely ready to play. |
