News: Josh Hamilton should see increased playing time in the outfield with the demotion of Edwin Encarnacion Thursday.
Views: This is the chain reaction of Ryan Freel becoming the primary 3B in place of Encarnacion. Hamilton owners (and lovers of the Hamilton saga) have been waiting for an every-day opportunity. Now, can he do the job?
He's cooled off some in recent days. He was hitting .333 with five HR and 11 RBI on April 19. He followed that with a 10-for-46 stint that dropped his BA to .263. After a brief respite with a pair of games against Colorado where he went 6-for-9 with two HR and three RBI, he went 0-for-9 against Houston to see his BA at .277. |
