Baseball Player News: Carlos Gomez (OF), NYM

News: The Mets have recalled top OF prospect Carlos Gomez following the injury of Moises Alou. Alou may be placed on the 15-day-DL depending on the severity of the injury. Gomez is starting in right field today against Brewers.
Views: Gomez has been hyped as the next crop of big-time Mets prospects. He isn't much of a power hit, but has great speed and contact ability. Though he probably won't stay up once Alou is ready to go, it should be fun to watch for the time being. |

An error in spelling. It's Carlos not Calos- unless you're trying to sound Asian or Spanish. 
This should be interesting. |

I don't see him playing much,
lf- chavez
cf- beltran
rf- green
I think they rested green today against the tough lefty capuano and green hadn't had a day off in a long time
I really don't see him getting much time except in an emergency stop or late inning defensive replacement
don't get too excited just yet, but he does have a ton of potential for the future with old men like green/alou in the outfield |

I think he's a must add in keepers leagues just bcoz of the old guys like Alou and Gren. |

I wouldn't say he's a five tool player really. He's got some power but certainly not enough to legitimately call him a five tooler in the same lines as Carl Crawford, but he can contribute at an average level in all five categories. |
