News: Ichiro extended his hitting streak to 16 games Wednesday with a first-inning single off of the D-Rays' Casey Fossum. He's batting .429 with 10 steals and 14 runs scored over this span.
Views: Don't be fooled by his poor showing in April (.305 BA, 1 stolen base) as that is typically the worst month of his career -- on the flip side May is typically his best month (.370 May BA on his career) so Ichiro owners should enjoy his improved production the rest of the way. |

I believe I've heard that's the highest career average in a single month of all-time. Maybe someone can verify that... |
