News: Huston Street began playing catch this week and reported no pain in his elbow after his throwing sessions.
Views: This is a step in the right direction, however Street is still about a month away from a return to his closing duties. Embree continues to be the A's temporary closer with Street on the DL, and has converted 6 of his 7 save opportunities this season.

Douche was expected to come off the DL over a week ago, but suffered a setback after pitching an inning of relief in minor league rehab game. He flew out and saw a hip specialist who advised him not to throw for a couple of weeks. He's still a week away from doing any sort of throwing, and that's assuming his hip is not causing him problems at that point. From there on out he'll go through the rehab motions all over again -- right now it seems pretty likely that Street will be back before Duchscherererer...
looks like Embree is a decent option for at least couple more weeks.
