Rick Ankiel has two outfield assists tonight, and he just threw out Omar Quintanilla at third with a laser from the warning track.
He has also homered. |

I suppose it is natural to assume that ankiel would have a decent arm... |

Two of the most amazing throws I've ever seen. Everyone needs to see the highlights. |

I really hate the Rockies mascot. I am punching that dinosaur if I ever go to Denver. |

I'm suprised somebody hasn't complained. It is bull that he's allowed to dance behind the plate like that. |

The more I watch the replays the more amazed I am. There's not another player in baseball or maybe ever that could have made those throws. Those are once in a lifetime throws and Ankiel had two in one night. Just sick! |

I just saw the replay. It wasn't. 1st and 3rd and the guy on first stole second. The second baseman cut off the throw and double pumped before throwing home and Alou was safe rather easily. |

Watched two more great pitching performances last night.Cliff Lee and Shawn Marcum were both outstanding.Lee handcuffed the Yankees and Marcum had a one hitter going until Gibbons left him in one batter too long. |

I know some of you Cards fans are big Ankiel fans. I saw a couple videos of him signing autographs and random interaction with him filmed by fans. He seems like a pretty cool guy. I am glad to see him performing well. |

Those were incredible throws- the joys of being converted from a high-90's pitcher... |
