McCann's actually my pick of the bunch, too, though the numbers for the past few years speak a little differently. Great four category production.
As for the weighting system, without giving away our entire formula, the weighting is done in terms of rarity. In other words, stolen bases carry considerably more value. Big league teams stole an average of 93 bases last season.... they hit an average of 163 home runs. It's not done quite to the extreme that those numbers (163 vs. 90) would suggest, but a player's ability to perform in categories where it's going to be more difficult to replace that production do come into play.
