Homer Bailey

Milton has gone down. The wires say that livingston or sarloos will get the start instead of Bailey.

Anyone think otherwise and also when is Bailey expected to debut?

I think they are being very careful with him and he probably wont come up until after the all star break if at all. hes got good stuff I think he just needs to work on control.

Bailey will and should stay down. He needs more work on his control before he's ready to pitch to big leaguers. I think comparing him and Lincecum is relatively fair given they both have two great pitches and some questionable secondary stuff. Both struggle with control but have been able to get away with it for some time because their stuff is just so good. But at the major league level, as we saw in Lincecum's first start, mistakes=home runs.

I'd say the earliest he'll be up is mid-June.

sounds like a September call up to me.
