Placido Polanco was placed on the 15 day DL May 8th. Polanco is about 80% and is eligible to be activated on Sunday, May 23rd.
Brian Powell (SP) – 15-day DL (Scapulae strain)
Brian Powell was placed on the 15-day DL Wednesday, May 19th with a strain in his right levator scapulae. Powell is eligible to be activated on June 1st.

Roberto Hernandez (RP) was activated from the DL after Wednesday night’s game against the LA Dodgers.
Jim Crowell (RP) was optioned to AAA-Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to make room for Roberto Hernandez.
Jim Thome (1B) has a strained ligament in his right index finger. Thome confirmed that his previous hand injuries (fractured right middle finger on March 5 & sprained left thumb on April 12) are causing him problems.
Randy Wolf (SP) missed his scheduled start on Saturday due to tendonitis in his elbow. Wolf began feeling the discomfort during his previous outing.
Elizardo Ramirez (SP) was recalled from A-Clearwater.

Wil Cordero was placed on the 15-day DL Wednesday retroactive to Monday, May 17th and is eligible to activated on June 1st. Cordero was diagnosed with inflammation in both knees, team doctor Dan Kanell will operate on his left knee on today. Kanell will then perform the same procedure on Cordero's right knee in two weeks
