Mclemore Will Undergo Surgery Thursday to Remove Bone Chips From the Elbow and Could Possibly Return At Some Point In time. Super Utility Man Desi Relaford Is Playing At a High Level and Will See 5 or More Starts A Week, with the Majority of Relaford's Action Coming at 3B as Jeff Cirillo Sits Against Most Tough Right Handers. Relaford Has Value as He Has Some Speed, Can Play Both Middle Infield Positions, May Also Qualify at 3B & OF, and Has Been Able to Hit For Nice Average in Limited Playing Time.

• Sep 6, 2002 – Kazuhiro Sazaki is Listed as Day to Day with a Sore Right Elbow. Initial Reports are Somewhat UnClear, But Kaz Had Major Surgery On his Pitching Arm Before Signing with Seattle in 2000. Sasaki Should Not Be Pressed Into Action Unless Healthy as Seattle has Other Options In Arthur Rhodes and Jeff Nelson. Look For Rhodes to Get a Few More Save Opportunities Should They Present ThemSelves Over the Final 12 Games of the Season. Rhodes Has The Best Pure Stuff on the Team and Can Dominate When He Commands His CurveBall. Rhodes Is Always a Top 100 Pitcher In Leagues that Include Holds, and Can Help with His Overall Dominance In ERA & WHIP, and with His Ability to Scavenge Additional Wins & Saves.
