Bacsik to Start Tuesday
June 02, 2003

Per WFAN in NY, Mike Bacsik will start in the place of the injured Pedro Astacio. If he struggles, recent call-up Jeremy Griffiths or top prospect Aaron Heilman will get the next start.

Jose Reyes is tearing up AAA now that he is back from a leg injury, and could get a call up within a few weeks to a month. The Mets want to have him regain his legs before he comes up, as well as avoid pressure from the rabid NY media.
