What are TextAds?
TextAds are a non-invasive, low-cost way to get your advertisement in front of thousands of daily FIC visitors for a wide variety of reasons. We're charging $1 per 1,000 ad views, with a minimum purchase of $5.
At these prices, the marketing dynamics shift as it increases the opportunity for individuals (as well as businesses) to creatively advertise while simultaneously helping support FIC. As an example, one could post an announcement, advertise their site, spread sports philosophies, or post a resume; the possibilities are endless...
How do TextAds work?
TextAds are inserted into the site just like any other content. All ads will prominently reside in the upper right-hand corner of our most highly-trafficked pages (see example below and above the navigation bar to the right).
The process is extremely simple - you submit three things to create an ad: your URL, a short title (35 characters or less) and a short description (75 characters or less).
How much do TextAds cost?
As mentioned, TextAds are inexpensive. The cost to show your ad 5000 times (our minimum) is only $5.00. This makes buying ads so inexpensive, practically anyone can run their own ad.
What types of things should be advertised?
You're only limited by your imagination and desire... you could advertise websites, accomplishments, services, fantasy leagues, etc. to thousands of the sports- and news-savvy users of Fantasy Information Central.
How will I know how my TextAds are doing?
We provide a reporting system that lets you track the number of ad impressions served and the number of click-thrus they generate. We even show you a daily summary of how your ads are performing. The example below demonstrates the information we provide you.
How is payment handled and how long until my ad is online?
Payment is handled through PayPal, which offers instant signup and lets you send money securely and electronically from your checking account or credit card to anyone else on the web. Your ad will be reviewed after submittal and if ok, will be approved within hours and start into the ad rotation.
