Over the past month, we've been telling you about the draft kit that we would be releasing at FIC. Unfortunately, a delay from our webmaster continually pushed back the release date until we finally got it up on the front page just a day before he was scheduled to be unavailable for the next two weeks. Of course, anytime that we seem to release something of this magnitude, there are technical difficulties which can pop up, and they have in a major way. Without our webmaster, these are problems that we're incapable of fixing.
For this reason, I'm taking initiative and making use of one of the few areas on the site that I can control in his absence and releasing the entire kit free of charge here on The Hook. All you need to do to access all of the work that our staff put into the kit's creation is find the links in this column's archives or in the index below.
While we are a volunteer site, our writers work hard to bring you some of the best content on the web. For this reason, we will be accepting donations from those of you who would like to lend us your support. The donation link will be accessible on every page of the kit.
While we don't have the entire forum devoted to the kit that we did last season, we do have a thread that I've created where you can all post your questions or comments regarding the kit. I will keep an eye on this thread regularly so that I can answer whatever questions you may have. Please post your questions here!
Again, I apologize for the delay of the draft kit. Personally, I've been looking forward to its release for the past three weeks, but it was out of my hands. We appreciate your continued support and will continue to bring you the very best content we can provide.

- For the handful of you who have managed to purchase the kit (I'm not sure how, but there were a few of you. It won't allow me or any of our other staff members to purchase or view the kit), our webmaster will be contacting you as soon as he returns from his trip so that he can refund your money.
Guys - Jim spent countless hours working single-handedly on all of this stuff you see released in The Hook. Hundreds of hours outside of his job and everything else he's got going on. How much would you typically have to pay for this kind of information and analysis? $5? $10? $20? Look at the projections for every major leaguer...team preview...everything.
If you're reading this or any of the articles I'd like to ask that you guys consider giving a simple donation, if you can afford it - no matter how small - to Jim for his effort. This basically became a second job, and ultimately an unpaid one because of the circumstances. If you can donate five bucks, even a dollar would help. This is the kind of dedication and work that people cash in on, and Jim has provided it for free, so just take that into consideration.
Oh, and enjoy the kit. Everything looks incredible.
I'd just like to reiterate what Justin wrote above. I've already dished out one donation and I will probably give him another one in the future. He devoted an incredible amount of time to this and it's very unfortunate that the Kit couldn't work.
So please give some donations. It would be the right thing to do.
Jim, you are a Saint. I don't have a credit card or PayPal, but could I, I dunno, mail you some cash for it?
I was gonna ask that, haha. I will probably get some money in my paypal account sometime, though.
I've never heard of one. Of course, I really don't handle much money.
Read outta's link. Basically it's like a check BUT you go to a postal office and pay AHEAD of time and they'll give you a slip of paper that's the amount you paid them. It's safer because this means that it will NOT bounce.
I've been having a lot of "these" kind of moments lately...but isn't it illegal to mail straight cash? For some reason I thought cash in the mail was illegal, and to think my dad worked for the USPS.

I can personally vouch for how much time Jim has put into this. He has spent virtually every waking moment outside of his day job over the past few months compiling this draft kit. Help a brother out and give him a few bucks for his hard work.

Guys sorry I would donate money if I had any. Once I make some money I will donate some.
Question....Where it says Payment For, do I put your name Jim?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. It says the donation to his email address automatically.
Well, every HOOK thread has a Make Donation button you can click on.

You should never mail cash, but Jim deserves it.
