Who's Better?

DFS Leagues

This day and age, Arraez is a throwback. He forgoes power for on-base and hits...and a ton of 'em. Now in a better lineup, that excellent OBP will translate into more runs. The lack of power, speed and top tier OPS caps his overall value, however. So, for DFS scoring, he won't usually put up a big number and is generally not a great option. We almost always prefer Olson, regardless of matchup.

Roto Leagues

With traditional rotisserie leagues, this is a much closer matchup. The average, OBP and runs from Arraez rivals the HR, RBI and OPS from Olson. Neither player really runs a lot so SB is a wash. Overall, their actual team value (eg, WAR) are consistently similar so it usually comes down your fantasy team's needs. If you desperately need AVE and especially if your league uses runs as a category, Arraez is a good bet. If you're hunting for the power cats, go with Olson,.
