On open-air stadium that first opened in 1998, that pirate ship in the north end zone really sets the tone. Being in Tampa, it can get sweltering early in the season (especially with no roof). That makes it tough on teams used to comfy air-conditioned parks. When the season gets into the colder months, temperatures in Tampa can get down into the 50s. Nothing close to the snow packs found elsewhere (Lambeau or Soldier Field) -- winter games in Tampa are actually quite a bit more comfortable for everyone (players and fans alike).
