With all the big games the Pats have played, Gillette Stadium is a pretty iconic place. Opened way back in 2002, it has no roof and being in Foxborough, can be a rough place to lace 'em up. Like most places, Fall is nice there (mid 70s). During Nov/Dec football, things can flip on a dime. Temperatures routinely dip into the 20s (and colder) with wind chill a brutal add-on. Speaking of wind, there's plenty of it here. Wind gusts don't get incredibly high (10-25 mph) but they tend to be fairly frequent, especially during the winter months.
The wind typically comes from the north, so the Pats likely try to game plan for it. The reality, though, is it's tough to "use" the wind to your advantage. Best option on high wind days is to lean on the run and pass when available Poor teams try to squeeze a slant straight into a hurricane - Pats have a history of keeping a low profile when the weather's dicey and going for the big play when least expected.
